Water’s Edge, a beautiful new affordable housing community developed by Hope Bound Development Corporation, the instrumentality of the Housing Authority of Joliet, previously known as “Will County Housing Development Corporation.” Proudly, Water’s Edge is our third redevelopment project in the City of Joliet.
A $21M project, Water’s Edge consists of 68 single family and townhouse style homes, located on the site with Wallace Street to DesPlaines Street, McDonough Street to Water Street, and Water Street to Wallace Street.

Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive response, the Water’s Edge Waiting List is full and currently closed to new applicants. Should the list become depleted, we will open the list again and advertise it in the newspapers and at HAJoliet.org.
For those who have already submitted a pre-application and are currently on the waiting list, should you have questions regarding your position on the list and / or the application process for Water’s Edge, please call 779-379-5511 and a representative will assist you.
